While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I encountered behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The floorboards were filthy, and a nauseating aroma of old alcohol and uncleaned toilets filled the entire venue . With a smell of a mixture of excrement , old age and sickness . The bar area , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and trash that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The toilet was in even more deplorable shape — backed up, with a snapped lever and walls covered in what I can only assume was human excrement .
It wasn’t just a one-off bad night either.
